“Fall” In Love with Walt Disney World – 2020 Edition

Updated on September 3, 2020

It’s no secret that 2020 has surprised us in ways we never thought – some good, some not-so-good! But, through it all, we have been able to count on Disney to continue to inspire, spark joy and bring us the Magic. Although it was officially announced a while back that Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween parties are canceled this year, that does not mean that we still can’t celebrate Fall and Halloween at the Most Magical Place on Earth!

Contents

This year, Disney is celebrating in an all new way starting September 15th through October 31, 2020.

Here’s what we can expect:

  • Special Halloween-themed cavalcades at Magic Kingdom with Mickey, Minnie, Pluto and pals wearing their favorite Halloween costumes
    • On select days, you may encounter a cavalcade of Disney Villains  – from Gaston and Maleficent to Queen of Hearts and Jafar – or a nightmarish procession featuring the Pumpkin King himself, Jack Skellington!

  • Disney friends dressed in their Halloween best scattered all around Magic Kingdom – You may even spot those rascally chipmunks, Chip ‘n’ Dale, in costume over in Frontierland, and look for other Disney character friends dressed up and riding the horse-drawn trolley down Main Street, U.S.A.

  • The Cadaver Dans return to Magic Kingdom on September 20! The iconic Dapper Dans will enchant you with their a cappella performances as their alter egos during this special Halloween season.

  • New Dining experiences for the whole family to enjoy! Reservations open on September 11, 2020.
    • At Magic Kingdom, enjoy dining at Cinderella’s Royal Table. Although the Princesses will be taking a break from greeting Guests, there will be plenty of fanfare to be enjoyed at this spectacular restaurant.
    • At Hollywood Studios, Dine with Minnie & Friends at Hollywood & Vine beginning September 25. Although it may feel a bit different than last time you visited, enjoy a family-style meal brought direct to your table. You’ll get to wave and snap photos of your favorite hostess Minnie Mouse, along with her friends Mickey Mouse, Goofy and Pluto. They are all waiting for you to join this spooktacular event!

  • It’s costume time!! For the first time every, Guests of all ages can wear their most creative costumes during Magic Kingdom Park regular operating hours from September 15 through October 31.
      • Costume masks are not permitted for adults; only children younger than 14 years old are permitted to wear costume masks.
      • All Guests are required to wear approved face coverings during their visit.
      • Before you arrive to the park, check the Know Before You Go page and Costume Guidelines.

  • Pumpkin themed Mickey wreaths will be back on Main Street U.S.A. in Magic Kingdom adorning all of the lampposts, just as we know and love!
