A new (and much needed) change has been added to the Genie + Service. And we couldn’t be happier about it. Our wish was granted!
As many of you know, booking Genie + reservations can be confusing, and now this change makes it a bit easier to know when you can book your next eligible selection. No more guessing (or forgetting)!
Here’s What’s Changed:
A new banner has now been added to the top of the Tip Board in the My Disney Experience app that will show you when you can make your next Disney Genie+ selection.
How brilliant!
Essentially, there are several different options you might see for choosing your next selection.
- Now (immediately )
- When the 120-minute rule elapses
- When your Lightning Lane return window closes OR
- When you redeem your Lightning Lane selection for an attraction, the app will immediately show “now” for you to make another selection
My Thoughts
This is a welcomed addition to the app and the Genie+ system, and one I’m excited to see and try. The various booking time options caused much confusion when it was left for Guests to figure out on their own, especially for anyone new to using the service.
There will likely continue to be updates and enhancements to the system as Disney listens to feedback.
